NOTHING TO SEE HERE!

What's occurrin' then?

It is with deep regret that I must make this report. Real life issues have conspired to keep me away from the painting station. Easter holidays, new additions and hospital appointments have all proved hobby stumbling blocks this past week.

Normal service will resume shortly. Like the DUDE, we must abide.

NEW STUFF AT THE BUNKER.

What's occurrin' then?

Lots of new things this week, here at the bunker. My Zombicide season 3 kickstarter package arrived, I've done a little painting and we've got a new guard dog.

Before we crack on, it would be remiss to neglect our weekly attempt to bring some culture to the zombie genre. Standards are being kept high with another delightful piece from warped mind of Bryan Baugh. This fabulous example is entitled Dirty Dead. Enjoy!

DIRTY DEAD.

So yeah, my Zombicide season 3 kickstarter arrived last Monday. I only got in at infected level and didn't buy any add ons. Still very pleased with my haul. Now just have to paint it all.

SEASON THREE HAS LANDED.

Managed to get a game in on Wednesday with the WNI, we've been playing Zombicide for ages, we all know the score. Stick together, work as a team and most of the time you'll complete the mission. Some how all the excitement of getting a new edition made everybody forget the basics, we split up, people got left behind, skills on the player dashboards were forgotten. In other words a right shambles, so inevitably the mission went tits up. Never mind try again next week.

The kids wanted to play on Saturday, who was I to refuse them. This time we even remembered to take a few photo's. Well, at the beginning anyway.

BOARD SET UP, READY TO GO.

A CLOSE UP OF THE NICE NEW BOARD. SHINY.

THE SURVIVORS WE USED, IN THE STARTING POSITION.

MY OWN CUSTOM FIRST PLAYER TOKEN.

What did we think? Well, it's still a great game, the new mechanics ran very smoothly but are different enough to offer even more of a challenge, the new spawning rules make things really unpredictable now. I can see this giving us hours more entertainment, that's without using any of the other add-ons that came with this season such as the V.I.P. zombies.

Simon, who runs Brummies Wargaming Blog asked me for a photo of last weeks dogs with some 28mm mini's for scale. Here you go hope it helps.

MARTENS AND GASPARD WITH A COUPLE OF POLICEMEN.

I've even managed to paint a couple of my new zombies. These are four of the new walker sculpts that come in Rue Morgue. The figures are just as good, if not slightly better than season 1. These are skinner zombies, they haven't eaten in a while, less humans to snack on.

MY FIRST FOUR SKINNER ZOMBIES.

I suppose some introductions are in order. First in line is Iago, he's a bit of an Iggy Pop lookalike. Next in line is Maelona, looks like she's wrapped up warm. Following her is Caddoc, once a bit of a ladies man. Now he just likes to bite ladies. Lastly comes Olwydd, the less said about him, the better.

STILL PAINTING THE BACKS OF THEM.

The wonderful Mrs. K was missing our Tia more than the rest of us. Something had to be done. We invested in a new guard dog. This particularly nasty piece of work, who will eventually be trained into a killing machine is called......Poppy.

She is too bloody cute for her own good, but she makes the Mrs happy and that's what counts.

OUR NEW LITTLE HEARTBREAKER.

Before anyone asks here's a picture of her with one of the policemen.

IT'S A 28MM FIGURE FOR SCALE REFERENCE.

Before I forget Happy Zombie Jesus Day!

I guess that's all I got for now dudes and dudettes. So until next time, keep doing what the DUDE does and "take it easy".
