What's occurrin' then?
Another week has shot by, they seem to be getting faster and faster, or is that just me? Lost more painting time this weekend as the 6 nations invaded once again. Still it was worth it, we beat the Irish putting us back in the hunt for the championship. A magnificent display from our boys.
Right, let's crack on. We shall start with what has become a regular feature, a piece of zombie art. This week brings another wonderful and weird masterpiece from the superbly talented Bryan Baugh. It's called The Mud People. Enjoy!
Considering the name of this blog, there hasn't been many zombies painted this year. Well that's about to change, as I present you with the first zombies of the year. These are made from the last sprue in the Wargames Factory survivors box, with the addition of some Studio plastic arms and some Mantic zombie heads.
This is my first proper run with the new Zombicide paints. They seem very good I particularly like the zombie shader and the two blood effects paint. All in all, not a bad result.
So from left to right we have Amlodd, he was a steel worker and member of the National Guard. Next is Baglen, bit of a tearaway and former member of the Cwmbran Massive (local gang). Following Baglen is Cadog a former mechcanic who also loved disco dancing. Last in line is Derwyn a formerly successful buisnessman.
There you go then, this years first zombies. Don't worry there's more to come.
So I haven't been just painting, I've done a little shopping too. I picked this beauty up at a local charity shop for the princely sum of £1. Take off some of the dumb toy stickers, give it a dirty wash and it should be good to go.
Just to prove Joe doesn't have the monopoly on tractors, I also got this for the same price. Same deal, dirty it up and it should look fine. Great for ploughing through zeds.
My copy of '68 Scars came this morning, totally making my day, so I have a little bedtime reading for after The Walking Dead. On first glance the art and story still looks excellent.
Well I guess that's all I got for this time dudes and dudettes. So until next time do as the DUDE and "take it easy".
