HORDE #5 BREAKING 200!

What's occurrin' then?

Zombtober felt a little short this year, with almost a full week left of the month after the final Sunday deadline. Although I've still been painting zombies and survivors, I thought that this was a prime opportunity to catch up with a horde progress report. I hope other participants also take full advantage of this "bonus" time.

The welcome wagon needs to be dragged out of the storage shed. It's been given a wash, oiling and has balloons and streamers added! Why? Well it's a special occasion, my 50th follower! So, as is usual, let's have a big BZA welcome for my latest follower Bullcher Feb. WELCOME BULLCHER! He runs the Waaagghhh! blog, go check it out, it's really good. Buckle up Bullcher this journey is going to take awhile yet!

Amongst all the excitement and stuff, we can't forget the cultural mission. You know the one by now! So with out further ado, I present another great piece by stayinwonderland. INFECTED #2

My fifth horde update, yes it has been quite a while since the last one. That's down to me making and painting other things to try and get this game off and running. I think it's going to be a little while yet, I appreciate your patience.

I'd completely lost count of how many zombies I'd painted for this project. Well as the title says, I've broken the two hudred barrier. Two hundred and two to be exact. It's great to say that Zombtober helped immensely getting my over that milestone!

Anyway enough gabble, on with the pictures!

Although there's a lot of repeat sculpts, I hope for now that my different colour schemes are enough to provide diversity. My conversion skills are not the best so for now they will have to do.

So that's my close to Zombtober, the end of the month at least. It actually feels like I'm getting somewhere. I've so much more left to paint! Half the TCM Toxic zombies, all the Prison Outbreak zombies, Rue Morgue zombies, loads more VIP zombies and  over half the stuff that came as part of the Infected kickstarter box. That's not including the survivors and zombivors! Let's just say, I'll be painting zombies for a fair bit yet.

Wow man! Is TWD ramping it up or what, best season yet!?!

THE HORDE GROWS #2

Things haven't been too clever here at the bunker this last week. We have all had a dose of "Delhi Belly", something must have got into the MRE's. This has resulted in little painting getting accomplished, but I have managed to leave the toilet long enough to take some photos of my slowly growing horde. It now stands at 117 zombies painted.

Sheldon extended the hand of friendship and gave me Gary the Misfit and his zombivore version, I was a little overcome and almost shed a tear. I then rather ham-fistedly tried to thank him but ended up grabbing the hand of friendship and twisting it behind friendship's back until friendship said uncle. Metaphorically. I'm so good with people.

This massive gesture cannot go unrecognised, Sheldon I'm making you an honorary Dude. Arise your dudeness. It would be remiss of me at this point to omit Vampifan, his gift was also greatly appreciated. Bryan you too have been offically made an honorary Dude. Arise your dudeness.

OK finally finished the vixens. Well nearly, got five left, but they were starting to all look the same. I had to stop to keep my sanity. Three of the five left are cheerleaders and I want them for something later so they will make an appearance at a later date. The other two, don't know yet. So I'm calling them done.

With out any more fuss let's get to the introductions.
Left to Right starting with the beautiful Gwen who has had a head swap with one of the WGF male zombies. Next in line is Nesta, who looks like she's got a headache.Following her is Baywatch Betsan, had to give at least one of the swimsuit bodies this colour and the float device, I couldn't resist it in the end. Finally we have Rhoswen, who can't let go of her last shopping trip's bargain's. On that point have you ever tried to tell a woman that a bargain still costs money?

Haven't been around much this week, thought I'd take a couple of days rest to recharge, and after the horde post it seemed like a good place to stop. Nothing to do with the whole nation being in mourning after losing to England in the Six Nations. Honest. Like the DUDE we will abide.

Somebody suggested that some "horde" photos would be a good subject for a post. It will also act as a record for my progress. So here they are in glorious HD.
The current status is 63 zombies painted, not too bad for a couple of months work I suppose. Still not a proper horde yet.

Nearly all the vixens are painted, only a few more to go, they felt like they were everlasting. I'm glad that I stuck at them now though.
I've got some Studio plastics to pile into now, hope to show some progress with them in a few posts time.

This post seems to have gone tits up. Not only are the pictures shit and in the wrong order, but I can't seem to post anything after my second picture either. Arse!

I'm very sorry about this but I lack the skills to fix it so we will have to muddle through.

Left to Right : Up first is a very nicely dressed business woman by the name of Glenda, her right arm comes from the WGF male zombie box. Next in line is the once beautiful Branwen now reduced to crawling after the crowd. Following along is Lowri, once fashion victim now just victim. Last up this time is Delyth, lovely girl Delyth.

I have to go now, time to prepare for the arrival of the WNI (Wednesday Night Irregulars) and an evening of zombie slaughter. So may be it's OK after all.

After the mayhem of St David's Day with the human sacrifices and other strange pagan rituals involving leeks and daffodils, things have calmed down enough to allow me to post.
Four more rotten lovelies shuffle in to join the growing horde. Well three and a half anyway.
Left to Right: First in line is Sian, she's another road swimmer from the local road swimming club. Next is Olwen, yet another nurse, apart from her sexy uniform you may notice she's a little different from the other girls. She was given a head from the WGF male zombies, which was then topped off by adding a couple of plaits taken from a GW space wolf scout. Following along is Cerys, bit of a messy eater is Cerys. Finally we have Gwen, life's become a bit of a drag for Gwen.
This post sees BZA enter it's third month, that's three months longer than I thought it would last, a big thank you must go to all who look and comment, you provide me with the motivation to continue.
 A massive welcome goes out to Zombie Ad who has become my third follower.

Before I start the usual amble let's have some pre-amble, I have to say that I'm really enjoying Season 4 of The Walking Dead. Don't worry no spoilers here. I just had to mention it being a zombie blog and all.
  Now back to the ladies.
  Left to Right : Leading tonights lineup is Anwyn all dressed up and no-one to eat. Next in line is Seren another waitress, she only serves up pain now. Following along is Enfys, she reminds me of the zombie after Rick on his bicycle in the first episode of TWD. Finally we have Bethan, sporty girl, but even her fancy trainers couldn't help her outrun the zombies.
  No conversions this time, straight out of the box, vanilla if you like.
  My earlier frustration at the vixens has eased somewhat as the end of batch is in sight, probably miss them when they are finished.
   Tonight is game night for the WNI (Wednesday Night Irregulars) and the plan is to run the first mission from the Zombicide Toxic Mall expansion. We were all introduced to the Toxic Zombies and new weapons last week, but in a regular Zombicide mission, we got our arse kicked. So tonight should be a little different and hopefully just as much fun.

So here we have four more delightful divas for your viewing pleasure.I don't know about you lot but the girls are starting to irritate me, must push on and finish them this week as I'm losing interest and sanity.
I've put together twelve of the Studio plastics kindly given to me by VAMPIFAN in preparation/celebration of finishing them.
OK then on with the introductions, Left to Right:
The first lady to shuffle into the spotlight is Rhiannon, caught in her nightie in the middle of the road. Next up we have the beautiful Megan, not exactly a picture of health anymore. Third in line is Nerys, a chambermaid at the local hotel not that she'll be changing any more sheets. Our final lady this post is Ffion a nurse, got to love the uniform. Some of you may have noticed Ffions massive ponytail, this was taken from a Space Wolf Scout and transplanted here.
 In other news, the WNI (Wednesday Night Irregulars) managed to reconvene this week after several weeks off due to the bunker refit. A cracking game of Zombicide ensued, with the introduction of Toxic Zombies and the new characters from Toxic City Mall. Also at some time over the weekend BZA surpassed 1000 page views, I find this incredible and want to thank everyone who has taken the time to look and comment.

Still plugging away at these bloody vixens, there seems to be no end in sight. Hundreds, no thousands of them, well at least 30. How many is a horde anyway?
Enough moaning from me and on with the introductions.
Left to Right: Firstly we have Matron Mandy, who should stop chewing her fingernails (and fingers). Next up is the gorgeous Arianwyn, who nose what she's been up to. Following her is Bronwyn, another keep fit enthusiast, not that it did her any good. Last up is amateur road swimmer Dilys, she was in training for the world championship, not any more.
 Started putting together some of the Studio plastic zombies kindly sent to me by the LEGEND that is VAMPIFAN, thanks once again Bryan. Nice details on them, but they seem quite small even compared to WGF zombies, so I'm going to base them on 25mm plastic bases which should raise them enough and bring them out of the shortarse club.

 Left to Right: Firstly we have Myfanwy a business zombie, nice suit but she's lost a shoe. Next we have Vanessa in her nightdress, what a way to start the day (as a zombie). Then we come to Stella the waitress, I thought about putting a head on her tray but decided against it. So she got some extra gore instead. Finally our keep-fit zombie Gemma, Rule no. 1 Cardio (didn't help her). Eagle eyed viewers will notice that Stella and Gemma used to go to the same hairdresser.
 I became bored painting all the bases grey, so came up with a way to try and represent roads what do you guys think?
 Still massive disruption at the bunker due to refit but bizarrely the blog hasn't suffered too much as all I can do is paint. There is also a rumour that the WNI (Wednesday Night Irregulars) might be able to gather once again this week. Here's hoping.

LADIES NIGHT (VALENTINE SPECIAL)

HELLO LADIES............

CHECK OUT THEIR CURVES.AND BROKEN BLOODY STUMPS

These are the first of my Wargames Factory Zombie Vixens. They are a little better than the men in terms of sculpts and crispness. Still they are cheap and there's a lot of them, besides it's nice to see the fairer sex represented. Their eyes are still too bloody small for me to paint, and if I thought the male zombies were skinny then some of these ladies are positively anorexic.
Left to Right: First up we have Blodwyn, looks like she was caught having a night on the town, having a bit of armless fun.(sorry, couldn't resist it). Next is Angharad, several of these torsos in the box, I quite like them. Are they called draggers or crawlers? I think Angharad must have been out with Blodwyn because she got legless. (I know I know). Last but not least is Suzy Suit who seems to be a little camera shy, although she fended off a few with her laptop, they still got her in the end. This idea was shamelessly stolen off Mathyoo. I hope he doesn't mind. These are not the sort of girls who would make good Valentine's, because as well as stealing your heart they would probably eat it.
