THE HORDE GROWS # 3

Now that I've finished my season 1 Zombicide zombies, with the ultimate aim of using them for ATZ, I thought it would be a good idea to put them with my other zombies and take some pic's. They could then act as a record for my growing horde of zombies.
ALL TOGETHER IN ONE SHOT.
How many you ask? Well the final tally is 148, 149 if you include the abomination. I'm still wondering if this enough, especially after checking out Vampifan's massive horde. I can't believe how small the ones at the back look.
A VIEW FROM THE LEFT.
How hot has it been lately, too bloody hot to paint anything that's for sure. That's another reason for this post, my Zombicide heroes are undercoated but that's about it. Well 3 of them have their shoe's painted, not much progress for a weeks painting or should I say a weeks non-painting. I can't seem to leave the fan's area of effect.
AT THE BACK ON THE LEFT.
I'm going to have to do something about the bases on the Zombicide zombies, not happy with that look at all. I seen some nice pre-painted laser cut flagstone one's I really like, so I'll probably go with that. Pretty reasonable, £3 for 16 if IRC.
A VIEW FROM THE RIGHT.
Apart from that they are coming along nicely. I've even gone and bought the little stickers to put their names underneath their bases. That's Bryan's fault that is. It was a valid question though. He just asked me how do I remember their names.
AT THE BACK FROM THE RIGHT.
What I must do is buy some new wash as I ran out of my homebrew finishing off the Zombicide zombies. Eagle eyed viewers will have noticed  the Abomination is absent, I gave him the night off (not forgetting him at all).
SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE.
Well I guess that's all I got for this time dudes and dudettes. So y'all take the DUDE'S advice and "take it easy".

A SPRINT FINISH

Yippee! The beast is slain. I finally finished the seemingly everlasting zombies of Zombicide Season 1. I feel quite lucky that I didn't Kickstart it, the one box load had quite enough for me. A fast painter I ain't.

Change of pace, let's do the intro's first and blab after. Without further ado on with the introductions:
KEEP ON RUNNING.
From Right to Left for a change. First out of the blocks is Evnissyen, a marathon enthusiast. Snapping at his heels is Mathonwy, more of a middle distance man. Lagging behind him is Gilvaethwy, a less than dedicated athelete. Bringing up the rear is Casswallawn, a complete amateur. All four were members of the local athletics club.

AND RUN BACK THE OTHER WAY.
That's it, all the zombies from Season 1. Boy, am I glad to see the back of them. This leaves me with just half a dozen survivors to slap some paint on and the whole thing's complete. I'm quite sure I won't know what to do with myself.

In other news, I'm a winner (it's official). Vampifan held a prize draw to celebrate his 500th post and I won a box of Zombicide Dog Companions. Thanks Bryan they're great.

Whilst rummaging through loads of sites for free paper downloads, I've come across a lot of places that provide loads of different free paper vehicles downloads. This puts me in the rather nice position of being able to jettison my diecast vehicle collection, all two of them, and confine my interest to the much cheaper (usually free) paper variety.

Some of the stuff you can now get in paper is amazing. Two sites I have found lots of vehicles on are TEKTONTEN PAPERCRAFT and Inkjet_Paper_Scissors. Both these sites have a great range of stuff and it's all free to download.

Well that's all I got for this time dudes and dudettes, so 'til next time try and do as the DUDE does and "take it easy".

MORE ZOMBIES AND WELCOMES.

Well, well, well, here we are at the last line of zombies from my Season 1 Zombicide, at last. There was a time not so long ago, when I didn't think this day would come, ever. But we are here now, I'll be the first to admit that it felt like an insurmountable task, given my limited enthusiasm for the job. Repetetive sculpts bore me very quickly.

Anyway enough whining and on with the blog:
Cabin in the Woods construction has completely stalled. Still waiting on a new side wall to be printed.

In other card terrain news, I've managed to download the free stuff from Wargame Vault. The disused warehouse, horsemans/laundry, drakes tv and a load of crates and containers. This will be sometime in being printed, if my new wall is anything to go by.  There's also an urban ground set on there for free too, probably get that as well. Hey it's free right.

The welcome wagon has been dragged back out of the shed and dusted off. To welcome my latest followers mistersam and Phil C. mistersam runs the miniature worlds blog spot, go check it out. So a big BZA welcome goes out to mistersam. WELCOME mistersam. Can't find a blog for you Phil, let me know if you have one. You still get a big BZA welcome. WELCOME Phil C. I hope you both enjoy the journey as much as I am.

Enough blabber and on with the introductions:
THE LAST LINE IS STARTED.

From Left to Right as usual. The first victim is Clud he was doing time when things went south. Following the big fella is Blodeuedd she used to be a chartered accountant. Next in line is Mallolwch an ex small time drug dealer Last victim of the session is Kymeinvoll, she was a very experienced escort until the apocalypse happened.

I'VE SEEN THAT FACE BEFORE.

I even managed to get the BZA official photographer to take backshots, lazy git, just to prove to y'all that I still paint the backs of them.

Well the lights out bugle has just sounded and the bunker has to lockdown for the night. So until the next time dudes and dudettes follow in the path of the DUDE and "take it easy".

MORE TARDINESS AND ZOMBIES

What's occuring then? More reasons for the lateness of my blog! Well no, instead we are having the usual round of back slapping that breaks out on these occasions. This time it has been brought to my notice that we have surpassed six thousand pageviews. On behalf of us all here at BZA, I would like to give you all a huge THANK YOU.

The recent heat has influenced the colour scheme of todays offering, I'm calling it my safari period. Sounds better than biege, at least. This little batch makes it only eight more to go and the tray is finished. Light at the end of the tunnel.

This post has also been delayed by the protracted negotiations that have taken place to secure the services of the BZA official photographer. It only cost me a provisional driving licence this time and 4 days of badgering.

Zombicide has smashed the million dollar mark then, unlocking some nice stretch goals along the way. Not that many optional extra figures yet but it's early days.

Righty Oh then, on with the introductions:

SAFARI CHIC.

Left to Right as is usual by now. First in the spotlight today is Goronwy managing director of local hi-tech company. Next in line is Bronwen she's an architect. Following her is Nissyen, he's a dentist. Lastly for today is Aranrhod she's a liasion officer for the local council.

The wash has worked it's magic again. I have painted the backs of these but because of the slackness of my official photographer, who neglected to take more than one shot of anything, you'll just have to take my word for it.

Time for some guest photo's.
These are courtesy of Sheldon. Our most regular irregular and resident analist. These character traits have lead to him becoming a damn fine painter.

Greyscale "Romero" zombies are so cool. I've seen this done several times now, does that make it a thing?, and I must admit to liking this style very much.
LOOKING LIKE THEY'VE STEPPED STRAIGHT OUT OF "NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD".

Some of Sheldons many survivors. He's got loads now even though he didn't Kickstart seasons 1 or 2. I think he said around 25 in total.
SUPERSTAR SURVIVOR LINE UP.

Left to Right they are Basil Fawlty played by John Cleese, Jason Statham back when he had hair, Sean Connery as John Patrick Mason in "The Rock", Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrance from "The Shining", Nicholas Cage as Cameron Poe from CONAIR. Hannibal Lecter played by Anthony Hopkins in "Silence of the Lambs".

Well that's all I got for now dudes and dudettes. So until next time do as the DUDE does and "take it easy".

ZOMBIES. NOW WITH NEW AND IMPROVED WASH. AND A WELCOME.

Another deadline missed. At the moment if I fell off a boat, I couldn't hit water. Mind you, blogger is not helping the situation. Couldn't leave comments for a few days as every time I tried to, my blogger crashed. What's all that about!

Things seem to be down to crawl speed, here at the bunker. I think it's the heat, note to self, install aircon. Or massive fans. Maybe it's because I'm a massive slacker, the second option is far more of a likely explanation.

Time to get the welcome wagon back out of the shed, to welcome my latest follower Monty. A big BZA welcome for Monty. WELCOME MONTY. Monty runs the Monty's Wargaming blog. You should check it out, it's rather good.

I found my replacement wash to be a little too green, so I adjusted the recipe by adding more purple and I have to say  that I'm much happier with the resulting mess.

Another reason for my irregularity seems to be the intense negotiations I need to perform to get BZA's official photographer to do any bloody work. Like father, like son eh. Bloody slacker.

Right enough excuses and on with the introductions.
STUMBLING IN TO PLAY.

Left to Right as usual.
Kicking us off is Mallolwch an overall model. Secondly is Morlais a rather poor nightclub singer. Next in line is Dylwyn a local bus driver. Finally we have Devlin Mudd, the Cwmbran Massive's resident snitch.
MUCH HAPPIER WITH THE WASH THIS TIME.

This batch see's the start of the final half a tray of Season 1 zombies. Season 3 is on Kickstarter as I type this and is doing rather well. Will the journey ever reach it's conclusion? Outlook, not any time soon.

That's all I got for this time dudes and dudettes. Until the next time know that the DUDE wants you all to "take it easy".
