ZEDVEMBER WEEK #1

What's occurrin' then?

An idea that has been percolating for a couple of weeks and a chance remark in a comment I left on Chris Hird's blog. That's Chris's Miniature Woes. Has kind of become the start of something. There seems to be a few events running this month, such as Movember and Dinovember. Well I had such fun in last months Zombtober and I still have lots of zombies to paint, so the idea of continuing this into the next month really appealled. Chris Hird was saying that he had zombies to finish and wanted to extend Zombtober into Zomvember. I said it was a great idea but Zedvember sounded better. A week later, here's my first Zedvember post. Chris already posted his first Zedvember post last Thursday.

To make things nice and simple let's make the guidelines, I prefer to call them guidelines who needs rules man, the same as Zombtober. So that's one completed zombie or survivor a week, posted by the Sunday. To be honest I'm going to paint these zombies anyway, I just thought it was a nice way to keep the momentum going.

Let us not forget the cultural mission. Another great piece from the very talented stayinwonderland. This one is called Zurvival League - Zombie Survival Game Art #1. Another unwieldly title. Enjoy!

ZURVIVAL LEAGUE.

Managed to paint another four zombies this week. All from Zombicide. The crawler sculpts are the final ones from Rue Morgue, I've shown all the different sculpts from that now. The walker is from season one, I was given another load of season one zombies last week. Along with a whole bunch of Berserker zombies and VIPs plus a couple more seekers. These came to me via Sheldon from Paul Kennedy, one of the stalwarts of Crow Valley Crusaders, my local gaming club. Cheers Paul! You may have noticed that I converted him. The Santa is another VIP in a different colour scheme.

MORE ZOMBIES SHUFFLE AND DRAG THEMSELVES TOWARD THE HORDE.

In the surprise package last week was around about 100 zombies including a whole tray's worth of season one, virtually a whole tray of berserkers plus a few season two regular zombies and another shedload of VIPs from both boxes of Very Infected Persons #1 and #2. Looks like the horde is going to be bigger than I thought it would get!

I'm still really enjoying this season's The Walking Dead and hope everyone else is too.

One more thing. After my CABIN FEVER CONSTRUCTION CRISIS post, the very next day Carl Stoelzel left a comment explaining a few things and some tips on fixes for my crisis. What can I say, WOW, awesome customer service especially since I hadn't even paid for it. Thanks Carl.

And now to the meat. There in lies the problem. Since I finished that first tray of zombies I've done very little painting. Yes half term got in the way, but I seem to be loathe to start the next tray. I say start, they've all been basecoated and two lines have been given skin colours. It's just there's so many of them. 32, it doesn't seem that many when you write it down.

In other news, Sheldon is starting to outdo his Dudeness, this Wednesday at the weekly meeting of minds that is the WNI(Wednesday Night Irregulars), he gave me a Fred the Trader set, turns out one of the boys at our FLGG the Crow Valley Crusaders had kickedstarted for two of all the exclusive survivors and promptly gave most of it to Sheldon. As he'd just bought Fred the other week he passed him on to me. Cool or what!

Other zombie entertainment. I feel it is my right as a zombie fan to warn you about "Battle of the Damned" starring Dolph Lundgren. What a pile! It's almost idiot-savant genius in how bad it is. Do yourselves a favour and give it a miss. I really want to be refunded the time I spent watching it, and I didn't even make it to the end.

ON THE BEACH. IN HD.

So in new HD cos I found the embigenator function.

My fifth attempt at WF zombies, in HD and all it's gory mistakes. I can only hope to improve. So the grey urban basing was getting a little tedious and to change direction I took a little trip to the coast, even zombies got to take a holiday (vacation) right?
  As usual Left to Right we have Grabbing Geraint,he's Grasping Gareths cousin, you might be able to spot the family resemblence. Next we have Chuck Morris, hardest zombie in Wales. Chuck has had a head swap with a spare GW demon head from my bits box.Following Chuck is Zombie Me, well nearly the model has got smaller moobs. The sharp eyed among you may notice that the next model is not a WF zombie, he is one of the Mantic zombies given to me by my freindly local gaming club the CROW VALLEY CRUSADERS via one of the WNI (Wednesday Night Irregulars).His name is Slackface, the Mantic zombies are much more detailed than the WF, cool to paint. I tried to solve the lack of modern clothing by painting it orange to simulate the remains of a prison boiler suit. Lastly we have Dai Chi, painted as a reservist soldier.
 Any way that's quite enough shite out of me for this post.
