The recent heat has influenced the colour scheme of todays offering, I'm calling it my safari period. Sounds better than biege, at least. This little batch makes it only eight more to go and the tray is finished. Light at the end of the tunnel.
This post has also been delayed by the protracted negotiations that have taken place to secure the services of the BZA official photographer. It only cost me a provisional driving licence this time and 4 days of badgering.
Zombicide has smashed the million dollar mark then, unlocking some nice stretch goals along the way. Not that many optional extra figures yet but it's early days.
Righty Oh then, on with the introductions:
SAFARI CHIC. |
Left to Right as is usual by now. First in the spotlight today is Goronwy managing director of local hi-tech company. Next in line is Bronwen she's an architect. Following her is Nissyen, he's a dentist. Lastly for today is Aranrhod she's a liasion officer for the local council.
The wash has worked it's magic again. I have painted the backs of these but because of the slackness of my official photographer, who neglected to take more than one shot of anything, you'll just have to take my word for it.
Time for some guest photo's.
These are courtesy of Sheldon. Our most regular irregular and resident analist. These character traits have lead to him becoming a damn fine painter.
Greyscale "Romero" zombies are so cool. I've seen this done several times now, does that make it a thing?, and I must admit to liking this style very much.
LOOKING LIKE THEY'VE STEPPED STRAIGHT OUT OF "NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD". |
Some of Sheldons many survivors. He's got loads now even though he didn't Kickstart seasons 1 or 2. I think he said around 25 in total.
SUPERSTAR SURVIVOR LINE UP. |
Well that's all I got for now dudes and dudettes. So until next time do as the DUDE does and "take it easy".
The zombies looks great mate.
ReplyDeleteThanks Andre.
DeleteNearly there.
Safari Chic is a good look and Sheldon's zombies and survivors are ace!
ReplyDeleteCheers boss! Much appreciated :D I've gone for greyscale as it helps distinguish them from the toxic city mall zombies (lime green). The plan is to just wash any further zombie variants and keep the base colour. Unpainted is the new painted ;-)
DeleteOh, and it makes the survivors stand out on the table :D
DeleteThanks Adam.
DeleteSafari chic is where it's at.
I really like your "safari zombies" Bob. That's an idea worth copying!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bryan.
DeleteCopy away Dude it ain't copyrighted.
Great job on the new additions. Your friends greyscale zombies look great as well as his survivors he has amassed!
ReplyDeleteI have a survivor addiction they far outnumber my zombies lol!
Thanks Simon.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Sheldon's "Romero's" look good enough to eat you. We were having a debate on Wednesday about the amount of survivors in Zombicide. Hopefully too many will be useful come the "gang rules".
Great paintjob, I'm sure the uniformity of the clothes will get lost in the rest of the horde!
ReplyDeleteI actually like greyscale zombies very much, they add to that morbid feeling of a zombie apocalypse and as Sheldon said, bring out the survivors. I don't think I would be able to pull it off myself, though.
Thanks Mathyoo.
DeleteThey'll definitely get lost in the horde.
I think the greyscale is a great look, wouldn't want to paint it though.
Safari!
ReplyDeleteMakes me laugh, much better than beige!
Seriously, looking good! I like the idea of the unpainted/painted look.
Thanks Steve.
ReplyDeleteSafari's the new black.
Yeah, that's Sheldons skewed logic for you.
Coming along just great mate!
ReplyDeleteStarting to look like a horde!
Thanks Johnny.
DeleteI'll take more horde shots when the last eight are done.
The gray scale zombies are really cool. They really get the feel of the first Romero film perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThanks Baconfat.
DeleteI'll pass the compliment along to Sheldon.
Both sets of zombies and surivors are looking brilliant. Great work both of you
ReplyDeleteThe B&W look does seem to be a *thing* now, but it helps during game play as well as looking cool :)
Thanks Paul.
DeleteYours where one of the first I saw, and yes they looked extremely cool.
