What's occurrin'!
The winter of the undead continues here at the bunker. Like an out of control unstoppable undead juggernaut my zombie painting crashes into it's third month straight. I'm going to call it De(ad)cember for a bit of a giggle, it's quite surprising what you'll do to keep motivated during the long dark nights.
A new artist to continue the cultural mission this time. I'd like to introduce you to the work of Chris Bolton. Know as Savage Zombie on Deviant Art. Chris hails from Australia. Our first antipodean I believe! Just goes to show what a truly global phenomenon zombie art is. This excellent piece is called Treat Yourself This Xmas. Enjoy!
The welcome wagon needs to be dragged out of the storage shed again. I'd like you all to put your hands together and give a big BZA welcome to my latest follower Ptr. WELCOME PTR! Ptr runs the Hugg Och Slag blog, go check it out, it's really good. He likes conversions and scratchbuilding, nice!
Righty oh then! On with the show. Not as much painting as I would have liked due to the lure of Fallout 4, it's a truly massive game with so much to do. I'm up to level 31 now, don't know how many there are altogether. Inspite of the pull of the post apocalypse, I have managed to paint five zombies. A season 2 walker, three season 3 VIP's and a season 1 walker.
On to the introductions, left to right as usual. Up first this time is former gangbanger Hedd. Next up is Seaman Apprentice Aneiren Cole, caught on shore leave no doubt. Another gangbanger next, Osian or Os to his crew mates. Following along is Rhion, a construction working family man. Finally we have Wmffre a phoneshop salesman.
The WNI are still meeting regularly, giving me something else to look forward too every week. It really helps keep the motivation to paint going, chatting about the latest hobby releases, almost normal compared to some of the other weird and bizarre conversations we have.
I don't know about you lot but I'm already suffering TWD withdrawl!
I guess that's all I got for this time dudes and dudettes. So until next time you all try and follow in the DUDE'S footsteps and "take it easy".

Some very nice additions to your ever increasing horde Bob; and a nice distraction from your "Fallout 4" escapades. There's a few arms missing on these geezers too, which is always nice as you do gore so very well :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Bk.
DeleteI had to take a day off, I was developing quite a healthy Nuka Cola addiction! Now I've started converting them, it's hard to stop snipping. Plus I do like a touch of red dude!
Duuuude, as always great work. Hope it's not too wet in Walesland this night?
ReplyDeleteThanks dGG.
DeleteIt's always wet in this part of the wasteland!
Hey, Bob, look how easy it is to convert these dudes. Chop off a limb here and there - easy peasy. Then slap on the gore, which you do so well. Another great group of zombies to add to your growing horde.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bryan.
ReplyDeleteOnce you chop it's hard to stop! I'm real glad you like the gore Dude, coming from you that's a real compliment, Gore Brother!
Love the zombies, amazing that you got any done with the sweet siren call of Fallout 4... I am almost dreading starting that game up in the next couple of weeks (it's my super secret xmas gift) I won't get any gaming done!
ReplyDeleteThanks Steve.
DeleteIt is a siren call too. You just have to be disciplined dude! Good luck keeping your gaming going.
Great stuff as always Bob, you've really developed your own style now methinks. I too am looking forward to eventually playing F4 but dread knowing how mny hours I'll be trudging across the wastes whilst the other things I could be doing get left along the wayside.
ReplyDelete(you gottaa kick that Nuka Cola habit bro)
Thanks Joe.
DeleteDon't do it Joe! It will eat up all your hobby time. Mind you it's better than real life sometimes too.
Nuka Cola's more of a lifestyle rather than a habit! 24/7/365.
Star Wars Battlefront is killing my hobby time, lovely work Bob!
ReplyDeleteThanks Fran.
DeleteGlad to see I'm not the only one seduced by computer gaming.
Some great stuff coming off of your desk. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mike.
DeleteYour too kind dude! I will most definitely keep it up.
You're on fire at the moment Bob and I know exactly what you mean about withdrawal from TWD - Monday nights just drag by now.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael.
DeleteWhy do we have to wait until February? Really!Monday night is another painting night now. Although I still watch the hilarious and campy Z nation on a Tuesday.
Excellent work dude! I daren't get a console I dread the day the kids ask for one off santa I will have to resist!
ReplyDeleteThanks Simon.
DeleteThat's high praise dude! Fortunately my twenty year old loves his PS4.
Great additions, Bob! There's nothing wrong with cutting. Next step: combining!
ReplyDeleteDon't throw the extra limbs away, surely you'll paint a chainsaw hero that could use some extra limbs on the base!
Thanks Mathyoo.
DeleteYeah, I know! One step at a time though, eh!
Mathyoo, I never throw anything away.
Liking the new Zeds Bob.
ReplyDeleteVideo games are the death of hobby motivation. Jus' sayin'.
Thanks Dai.
DeleteYeah, I know. I don't indulge very often, just games I really like unfortunately. I'm really trying to keep my output steady mind!
Great looking additions to your growing horde, Bob.
ReplyDeleteI fear Bolton's Santa may be after more than milk & cookies.
Thanks Finch.
DeleteI think you may be right, he likes finger food I've heard!
Those guys don't look like they are a-shuffling. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat job ... and as for Deadcember, nothing like a zombie Apocalypse to add to the Xmas shopping rush.
Thanks F.E.M.
DeleteIt would make black Friday much more fun!
