THE HORDE SO FAR. IN HD.

YOU CAN HEAR THEM SHUFFLING OUT OF THE DARKNESS.

THE MOANS ATTRACT MORE AND MORE.

THE SMELL IS OVERPOWERING.

WHERE'S WALLY?

MORE AND MORE STUMBLE AFTER THE LEADERS

MAYBE IT'S TIME TO RUN!

HERE COME THE STRAGGLERS

THE SITUATION SEEMS HOPELESS.

THIS APPEARS TO BE THE LAST OF THEM FOR NOW.

EVERYBODY'S SHUFFLING.

ALTOGETHER IN ONE SHOT.
Somebody suggested that some "horde" photos would be a good subject for a post. It will also act as a record for my progress. So here they are in glorious HD.
The current status is 63 zombies painted, not too bad for a couple of months work I suppose. Still not a proper horde yet.

Nearly all the vixens are painted, only a few more to go, they felt like they were everlasting. I'm glad that I stuck at them now though.
I've got some Studio plastics to pile into now, hope to show some progress with them in a few posts time.

Well that's all I've got for now.You know how this goes by now, the DUDE says "take it easy".

  1. Great job Bob. About 60 zombies tends to be the 'right' minimum number for most systems, but why stop at 60. Well done for getting them done in a short space of time

I don't think I'll be stopping just yet. Too many nice figures out there.

  2. Keep 'em coming, Bob. You can never have too many zombies. There is no definitive answer to the question of how many zombies does it take to make a horde? I think that once you get into triple figures (100+) then that's a good horde. It was great to see all of your figures lined up together. I need to do something similar with my horde but I'll need a lot more table space, seeing as my horde is standing at 850+!

You are right about never having too many zombies. I think that triple figures is a good place to start calling things a horde.
Are you trying to start your own meta-horde?

    2. Yes, I am trying to build a meta-horde, which for me has to be in quadruple figures (1,000+). If I painted all of my unpainted metal and plastic zombie figures I could easily achieve that goal. Scary, huh?

    3. Very scary. I can see it now, Team Vampifan v's The Mayhem City Meta Horde what an epic AAR that would make, go for it Bryan.

I really like mantic-WGF conversions, too.

It does feel good to see them altogether. You've got to paint them Mathyoo! The Mantic-WGF conversions are really easy.

It's great to to get all my zombies together for a photo shoot. 48 is almost halfway to a hundred. You should add more, you can never have too many zombies.
