What's appertaining dudes and dudettes?
I seem to be really busy but not actually finishing anything, hence this post's title.
So let's start with the now customary piece of zombie art.
|
"WE ARE GOING TO EAT YOU."
|
Another outstanding piece by GRIMBRO, my current favourite zombie artist. I'm sure most of you will recognise the iconic image from Zombie Flesh Eaters. (1979)(aka Zombie 2) Directed by Lucio Fulci. The "worm-eyed zombie" was played by Ottaviano Dell'Acqua. I first saw this as a "video nasty" back in the day. Not one of my top ten but it's been hailed as an early classic, who am I to argue.
Now I have to drag the welcome wagon back out of storage to welcome my latest follower to BZA. So let's put our hands together and give a big BZA welcome to Four Eyed Monster.WELCOME FOUR EYED MONSTER. F.E.M. runs the "A Journey into the Dark Millennium" blog, I strongly suggest you go check it out. It's very good!
As the title of this post implies I've been a little unfocused in my hobby activities. Now don't get me wrong, I've been doing plenty, just not actually finishing any one thing. That and real life distractions has left me with plenty of WIP. Anyway enough BS and excuses, I'll show you what I've got.
So first we have some scenery WIP, another free download from Model Paper World. This is the Blue Sun Food-a-rama, a small supermarket. No signs or other stuff yet.
|
BLUE SUN FOOD-A-RAMA |
Interior shot of the Food-a-rama, as you can see it's not finished. The tiled floor is a wallpaper sample.(Not glued in yet.) The ink I was waiting for has had to be put on hold until after Christmas because I finally had to pay for my Zombicide Season 3 kickstarter. So any interior detail will have to wait until then.
|
INCOMPLETE INTERIOR |
Next we have some more WIP fences, nothing too fancy just a foamboard base, bamboo skewers and corrugated card. Oh, and a little silver paint.
|
SMALL CORRUGATED FENCES |
Bigger fences, built the same way as the other's. Weathering, wear and tear and a little attention to the bases should see both of these sets finished.
|
BIGGER CORRUGATED FENCES |
More mesh fencing, taller than the other set (which are still not finished and I forgot to photograph) to go with the derelict warehouse. Gates are next on the list, some broken sections would be a good idea too. I'm sure the zombies will break through eventually.
|
BIG MESH FENCES |
Moving on, we have some WIP zombies, three of these guys were penciled in for Zombtober but never made it. Hoping to get them finished this side of Christmas but that's not a given.
|
WIP ZOMBIES |
Zombicide survivors. As you can see very little progress has been made on these. Not even on the DUDE, for shame.
|
WIP SURVIVORS |
Even the rest of Season 1 survivors are languishing around half painted. Their are also six companion dogs primed and ready to go too. (Yes, I forgot to photograph them as well).
|
MORE WIP SURVIVORS |
Finally, I've cut out a couple of police SUV's just haven't got around to bending and gluing them yet. Did I mention I've busy but not completing any one thing.
|
WIP SUV'S |
So hopefully I can get my act together over the next couple of weeks and finish some of this WIP. I've also have a ton of boxes for filler and pallets to make, when will it stop!
Well that's all I got for this time dudes and dudettes. So until next time follow the DUDE'S advice and "take it easy".
Well there seems to be hobby stuff being done. Progress is still progress and it is looking good mate!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Johnny.
DeleteYour right of course, progress is still progress.
Lots of good stuff taking place. The reflection on the supermarket front certainly threw me for a moment as I thought it was real!?! As Lord Siwoc says, even if you're just picking away at things, you're still making progress.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bk.
DeleteThe stuff from Model Paper World is pretty good and it's free. Loads of Tommygun's stuff on there. Only downside is nothing has interiors(you have to sort out your own) but it is free.
Lots to keep you busy there Bob, love the look of the mesh fences - looking forward to seeing updates as they happen.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael.
DeleteYes, plenty to keep me out of trouble. The mesh fences are my favourites too.
Great stuff Bob. Progress is Progress despite not getting things finished. You'll have one of those weeks where all of a sudden you will finished it all off and the effort will be worth it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Simon.
DeleteI hope so, I'm feeling a little overwhelmed.
Well, you might not have finished anything yet but there's no denying - you have been busy. Good on you, dudemeister!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bryan.
DeleteI'm trying to stay occuppied and your encouragement is most welcome.
You have been busy Bob :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Andre.
DeleteGotta try and stay out of trouble dude!
Excellent progress. I love the Blue Sun Grocery, That's one I'd like to build someday as well. The fences will make a good addition!
ReplyDeleteThanks Steve.
DeleteThe Blue Sun Grocery is a nice little build, I just have to cobble together an interior(I've found quite a bit to that with).
Fences are everywhere, I didn't realise that until I started this project.
I hear you Bob I'm in the same boat with lots of WIPs around but the fences are coming along and they are so useful too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Robert.
DeleteI'm just finding out how much work this project is. I know it will be worth it in the end though. Fences are as important as buildings, to set the right scene.
You have a lot going on there and with so many things it'll take you by surprise when you do fiish something (a nice feeling)
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe.
DeleteI'm sure your right, something needs to take me by surprise. Ambush!!!!!
You got a lot on your plate and don't worry, most of us are like that. I really hate it when I do really a lot in a week, just to find out I have nothing to post about!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to all of them, but especially the miniatures and that store!
Thanks Mathyoo.
DeleteI'm going to try and focus on finishing one thing before moving on to another, I might have something to post then. Yes it is annoying when that happens.
Lots of works in various states of progress I see. Drive on, Bob. As others have observed, progress is progress.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing the Dude mini completed.
Thanks Finch.
DeleteI feel stretched really thin, your encouragement is most welcome.
I too wish to the DUDE mini done, time to nut up or shut up.
That's a very impressive piece of scenery for a free download. Thanks so much for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks F.E.M.
DeleteModelPaperWorld has several pieces just as good and they're all free.
No worries on the share dude!
Still, doing a load of WIP pieces, beats zombies farming ...
ReplyDeleteOr even zombie racing!
Now there's an idea ;)
Thanks Roy.
DeleteZombie farming seems such a peaceful life, where as zombie racing would be full of shady characters and organisations looking to make a fast buck.
Plus if there were only walkers involved, the races would take awhile.
