What's occurrin' then?
Another week flies past us at breakneck speed, but I did manage to finish a few more survivors.
Kicking us off once again is a lovely piece of artwork, another by the fantastically talented Bryan Baugh. This piece is called Zombies attack cheerleader. I hope you all enjoy it.
Before we crack on, I must get the welcome wagon back out of storage to welcome BZA's latest follower. So all put your hands together to give a rousing welcome to Chris. WELCOME CHRIS. He runs the Outbreak. Gaming the Z apocalypse blog. If you haven't seen it, go check it out it's very good. Strap in Chris it's going to be a long journey.
Right then on with the show. Three more survivors this time. Two from the Wargames Factory Apocalypse Survivors : The Men and one from Season One of Zombicide.
Again the WGF survivors haven't been given names or backstories yet. I'm sure most of you recognise Doug from Zombicide, he's based on Michael Douglas's character William "D-Fens" Foster. From the 1993 movie Falling Down. So Doug Foster it is then.
These guys are more heavily armed than the last couple of groups, so should be capable of laying down some serious lead. Although this would be at the cost of making a lot more noise, therefore attracting more zombies. I guess it depends on what the mission requires.
In other news, I've taken the plunge and bought All Things Zombie : Final Fade Out. I've already read through it once but I think it'll take a few more reads and a couple of practice games and run throughs before I'm familiar with all the rules.
I purchased ATZ from Zombie Shop, run by Adam Pullman. What an excellent choice that was, every step of the way I was sent e-mails to tell me at what stage my order was at. Not only that but I didn't place my order until quite late on Thursday evening, yet still recieved it Saturday morning. Oh and it came with a free sweetie. I would definitely use Zombie Shop again and would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody else. Great job Adam.
Well that's all I've got for this time dudes and dudettes. So until next time do as the DUDE does, and "take it easy".

AGAIN I'VE PAINTED THE BACKS OF THEM. |

FINALLY GOT THE RULES OF CHOICE. |

Great stuff Bob. Wasn't a fan of "Falling Down" but I am of your mini. Fave has to be 'Arnie' though, doubtless just about to have a quick chat with the Police Station Desk Sergeant before uttering those immortal words "I'l be back." ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Bk.
DeleteI like to think he's the Welsh version. The Taffinator. "I'll be back, in a minute, butty!"
The chap on the right is pretty tooled up!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ray.
DeleteThat's Doug, his starting skill in Zombicide is "Matching Set" which allows him to take a second weapon and dual wield it, as long as the weapon card has the dual wield symbol on it. Yeah, he is tooled up. Can never have too many weapons dude.
I quite fancy a game of Zombicide myself.
DeleteIt's a great game to play dude. You really have to work together to achieve the mission goals, plus it's major fun, but I would say that because I love zombies.

ReplyDeleteNice additions mate. Love mr.Foster. I'm quite fond of the RAFM version of him.
ReplyDeleteThanks Simon.
DeleteDoug's very handy in Zombicide, serious amount of firepower! It will be interesting to see how he goes in ATZ. Can't say I've seen the RAFM version of him.
I like Doug. He's a cool character. The not-Arnie figure isn't bad either. That kid hasn't a hope in hell of hitting anything if he doesn't look where he's pointing that rifle. Bloody liability!
ReplyDeleteAdam is definitely one of the good guys. I have always had excellent service whenever I shop with him.
Thanks Bryan.
DeleteDoug's a great character. I think the Taffinator might do O.K. The kid is going to end up as zombie bait, before he get's a chance to become proficient with his rifle.
Top customer service from the Zombie Shop crew.
Another good bunch of survivors Bob.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe.
DeleteIf the casualty rate is high, I'm going to need a lot more.
Good one.
ReplyDeleteAnd the last photo made me smile, because this is what happens when you fuck a stranger in the ass... :)
Thanks cedric.
DeleteGlad I could raise a smile dude!
The minis looks great Bob, and im happy you desided to get ATZ its a great game, but as many people i have desided to make changes to the rules.
ReplyDeleteThanks Andre.
DeleteI think ATZ are the go to rules, I'll probably play them straight for a little while until I get used to them. I like what I've seen people do to tweak them though.
They should slow down the horde, albeit briefly; lovely additions Bob.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael.
DeleteAll too briefly I'm afraid, but they should make plenty of noise doing it.
Looks great, Bob. Haven't see Falling Down in some time but I seem to recall an M72 in that bag Doug's carrying. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M72_LAW
ReplyDeleteThanks Finch.
DeleteI have'nt watched it in years, but iirc he had a whole bag full of fun munitions.
I like the effect you got on the brown cloak. By the way, is it just me or is the expression on the middle zombie at the left-most side simply hilarious. Must be just me.
ReplyDeleteThanks F.E.M.
ReplyDeleteThe brown coat was a simple drybrush and wash. Bryan Baugh definitely mixes humour with his horror, I think it could be just you though on this occassion. Just kidding dude!
